Sure, we all want new customers and should continue to market to them. However, we do understand that most of our money comes from our already existing customers. Most experts estimate that  your revenue is somewhere between 70% and 90% from your existing customers. So how can we get them to buy and buy more often?</p>
<p>Getting your customers to buy more often is really as easy as staying in touch with them and asking for the sale. Find out what your customers need and provide it to them. You may say, how do I do that? Any easy answer is to use your existing tool. If your company has a website, create a optin box with an autoresponder that stays in touch with your customers. This autoresponder can send them news, specials and just about anything you want them to know.</p>

If you are stuck into the day to day operations, your business is probably suffering. Get out and let people know about you and your business. A great book to read is the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&amp;keywords=emyth&amp;tag=netdesignedcom&amp;index=blended&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325" target="_blank">E-Myth</a>. A valuable piece of literature.</p>
<p>Today I want to talk a little about how to get your struggling website found on the internet. Unfortuately for most business owners they think that just having a website means that &#8220;they will come&#8221;. Nothing could be further from the truth. Without a plan, nobody is going to find your site. Here is some of what you can do.</p>
<p>Before you get sold on Web Design or some fancy site, make sure you think about your potential customers first. What are they searching for and what words do they use in their search. Go to <a href="https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal" target="_blank">google keywords</a> tools and find out what people are searching for. Once you know that, create pages about those keywords. If they search for &#8220;Wedding Planning&#8221; then create pages about &#8220;Wedding Planning&#8221;. Then makes sure you have inbound links that use that keyword to hyperlink to your site.</p>
<p>Another favorite technique of mine is to use geographic keywords like &#8220;Colorado Springs&#8221;. If your customers come from a radius of 5 or 10 miles from your business, it makes sense to use &#8220;Colorado Springs&#8221; in your keywords because then you will be placed higher in Google. Your page should focus on &#8220;Wedding Planning in Colorado Springs&#8221; if you want to be placed high for that term.</p>

That&#8217;s true to a small extent but it would actually be cheaper and more effective to target a magazine, newsletter or newspaper that your potential customers read.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s always cheaper to focus your advertising. Finally, remember you have to give the prospect a reason to respond to your ad. Make a call to action.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>It is easy to become jaded and disillusioned in marketing advertising. As a marketing consultant, I thought that most of the markets were tapped. Consumers, you see, are simply too cynical nowadays. Advertising and marketing have to resort to increasingly cheap tricks. There is no finesse in the field anymore. Marketing campaigns rely more and more on hard sells, direct marketing, and advertising saturation techniques. The situation seemed hopeless for someone like me who got into marketing and advertising because of the creativity involved in the field – there wasn&#8217;t any creativity anymore.</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t see it at the time, but the solution was to specialize. There was one area where marketing strategy has not been totally tapped out and exploited, and where it might never be – marketing seniors. Marketing to senior citizens is one of the most lucrative possible techniques for any product that can be used by that age group.  It might sound strange, but senior marketing is one of the easiest sells there is. Even marketing high school students isn&#8217;t quite as easy.</p>
<p>There are a couple reasons why marketing to seniors can be so effective. Although they don&#8217;t have a lot of money, they do have a lot of time and are frequently lonely and bored. Because of this fact, there are many possibilities for marketing seniors campaigns. You can market senior citizens by capitalizing on their nostalgia for earlier days, on their feeling of being left out or left behind, on their perceived insecurity and frailty in a rapidly changing society, and all of it works!</p>
<p>The best thing about marketing seniors is that they take the time to listen. Almost no one pays any attention to marketing and advertising campaigns nowadays, but seniors do. There are thousands of seniors across the country who have nothing better to do than sit around and watch TV, and you can bet that they will notice your advertisements! With the increasing popularity of the Internet among senior citizens, there is yet another field for marketing seniors.</p>
<p>The bottom line is that things are good for people who sell to the senior citizens market, and it won&#8217;t change anytime soon. Marketing seniors doesn&#8217;t involve ever flashier and more elaborate attempts to get attention. As a matter of fact, it involves just the opposite. If you can come across as down to earth and old-timey, they will be eating out of your hand, spending the last couple dollars of their pensions on whatever goods you&#8217;re peddling!</p>

Make sure you spend some time to either email or send a letter to your existing customers and give them an incentive to come back. You will be surprised at their response. Remember if you aren&#8217;t continously marketing to your customers, your competition is.</p>
