As we all know, as business owners, our most valuable customers are the customers we already have. Sure, we all want new customers and should continue to market to them. However, we do understand that most of our money comes from our already existing customers. Most experts estimate that your revenue is somewhere between 70% and 90% from your existing customers. So how can we get them to buy and buy more often?
Getting your customers to buy more often is really as easy as staying in touch with them and asking for the sale. Find out what your customers need and provide it to them. You may say, how do I do that? Any easy answer is to use your existing tool. If your company has a website, create a optin box with an autoresponder that stays in touch with your customers. This autoresponder can send them news, specials and just about anything you want them to know.
So, stay in touch with your customers with a optin box and autorepsonder, they will love you for it.

Hello fellow business owners. I hope you are having a successful month and year. Remember, always promote your business. If you are stuck into the day to day operations, your business is probably suffering. Get out and let people know about you and your business. A great book to read is the E-Myth. A valuable piece of literature.
Today I want to talk a little about how to get your struggling website found on the internet. Unfortuately for most business owners they think that just having a website means that “they will come”. Nothing could be further from the truth. Without a plan, nobody is going to find your site. Here is some of what you can do.
Before you get sold on Web Design or some fancy site, make sure you think about your potential customers first. What are they searching for and what words do they use in their search. Go to google keywords tools and find out what people are searching for. Once you know that, create pages about those keywords. If they search for “Wedding Planning” then create pages about “Wedding Planning”. Then makes sure you have inbound links that use that keyword to hyperlink to your site.
Another favorite technique of mine is to use geographic keywords like “Colorado Springs”. If your customers come from a radius of 5 or 10 miles from your business, it makes sense to use “Colorado Springs” in your keywords because then you will be placed higher in Google. Your page should focus on “Wedding Planning in Colorado Springs” if you want to be placed high for that term.

First, do make sure that whoever is designing your website that they take into consideration Search Engine Optimization. Without using the right keywords, in your website, your website will never get found.
Second, it’s always a good idea to collect visitor information. Most customers who browse your site will not buy the on the first visit. Give them something for free if they provide you their email address. With this email address, you will be able to start the relationship with the customer and eventually they will see the value in what you provide.

Before you consider advertising your business either offline or online there are a couple factors to consider. Remember to focus your advertising campaign on a niche group of prospects who you believe would be interested in your product. One mistake most business owners make is thinking that the bigger the the circulation the more customers they will get. That’s true to a small extent but it would actually be cheaper and more effective to target a magazine, newsletter or newspaper that your potential customers read.
It’s always cheaper to focus your advertising. Finally, remember you have to give the prospect a reason to respond to your ad. Make a call to action.
